Take a Look at Invertebrates at Museum’s Earth Day Celebration
Museum of Coastal Carolina to Host New “Bee-Hold” Exhibit

Ocean Isle Beach, NC – From the soil to the sea to the sky, invertebrates are everywhere, and the Museum of Coastal Carolina will help guests explore them during its annual Earth Day Celebration April 22 to 26.

Guests with the Museum’s educators and volunteers will investigate invertebrates through activities throughout the Museum galleries. We will get our hands dirty learning about worms and other crawly critters and their importance to soil. Guests will investigate water quality by counting and sorting aquatic macroinvertebrates. We will see how whales use baleen to eat plankton, and discover the importance of pollinators through a fun game.

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
